Girls Lacrosse continues to impress in 2013Friday, May 3, 2013 Newington girls beat Southington again: For the second time this season, the Indians defeated Southington. The most recent victory was a 13-12 win on Tuesday. Newington's balanced scoring, featuring six scorers, along with 20 saves from goalkeeper Diana Lenares, led to the win for the Indians (6-3). Newington is in third place in the CCC South. "We are on track for what I had hoped for," Newington coach Selina Quirion said. "We've beat Southington twice now and those are two good wins. ... Hopefully we can keep working together and keep getting stronger." The Indians also beat the Blue Knights 17-9 at Southington April 22.
